Strength in Numbers Starts With You

100 Women Who Care Tri-Cities BC is a volunteer organization that brings together local women to support registered charities in need. Members meet quarterly to learn about three charities and vote on which one will receive a $100 donation from each member. This unique giving circle provides a simple and impactful way for women to make a difference in their community.

Our Current Chosen Charity

OUR CURRENT CHARITY

The Food Bank on Wheels was our chosen charity on February 11, 2026.

Food Bank on Wheels has been operating since 2018 to relieve poverty by operating a free mobile home delivery food bank service to one parent families who are poor, of low income, or in need and unable to go to a regular food bank in their area due to an illness or disability in the family.  Transportation issues also prevent these same people from getting the help they need by visiting the local food bank.  FBOWs fills a service gap that is necessary to these families, giving them a free home delivered perishable & non perishable food hamper that they would not otherwise be able to receive without this service. NaloxHome Society

NaloxHome was founded in 2021 by Chloe Goodison, a first-year SFU student who recognized a gap in education after graduating high school without learning about BC’s overdose crisis. Despite five years as a declared public health emergency, critical topics like overdose signs, naloxone access, harm reduction, and the poisoned drug supply remain absent from school curriculums—fuelling stigma and putting lives at risk.

Power in Numbers: Redefining Community Giving

Larina sat down with Geneviève Kyle Lefebvre on Face to Face to talk about the mission behind 100 Women Who Care Tr-Cities BC, how collective giving strengthens our community, and the impact local women are making together.

How it all started

Larina Bouwman was first introduced to the 100 Women Alliance through the Squamish chapter.  After moving to the Tri-Cities area and wanting to connect with like minded women, she founded the Tri-Cities of BC chapter. Her goals are to grow this chapter to 500 women before 2030.
